Osceola Community Hospital provides 24-hour every day emergency services. The ER is staffed with registered nurses, a physician from the Family Medicine Clinic who is on call for 24 hours everyday. Also on call 24 hours a day to provide you with assistance is the staff from lab, x-ray, and surgery. People may reach the emergency room through the emergency room entrance or through the hospitals front doors. However, the front doors are locked at 8:30 p.m. Should you ever need emergency assistance after hours there is an ER call button you can push by the front door to access a nurse. Our emergency room is outfitted with the necessary equipment to handle any kind of emergency. In addition our nursing staff is encouraged to maintain ACLS certification, NALS certification, PALS certification, and TNCC (Trauma Nurse Course).
Osceola Community Hospital has a helipad which is located west of the hospital. Emergency air care is available from Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Sanford Health, Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center and Mayo Clinic Air Ambulance with other air services available.
