Wii video game entertains residents at Royale Meadows
In nursing homes around the country, video game consoles are becoming a hit. That's true here in Sioux Center, too, as Royale Meadows had a Nintendo's Wii video game.
Activity coordinator Sue Sandbulte said that residents enjoy playing the games and those who don't play enjoy watching. Sporting games like bowling are a big hit and offer good range of motion for the players.
In 2008, Royale Meadows purchased the game console with a memorial gift from a former resident. The nursing home has organized activities for the Wii at times during the week for those who are interested.
