Concussion Management

What is ImPACT?
ImPact is a program that allows clinicians to evaluate an athlete’s recovery following a concussion. Athletes who participate in the program take a 20-minute computer test that provides an accurate measurement of their cognitive abilities. If a concussion is suspected during the season, a follow-up test is administered to see if the results changed. This comparison helps diagnose and manage the concussion of athletes, and is used widely in professional, college and high school sports.
