About the Foundation
About the Weskota Foundation
Weskota Foundation allows people and businesses to invest in the future of health care in their own community. The Foundation generates gift income through annual gifts, gifts memoforial or recognition, art appreciation plus a variety of deferred and planned giving or estate plans. The goal is to create an endowment of such significant that the annual earnings will fund components of the hospital's programs and equipment which will, in turn, help control health care costs.
By contributing to the Foundation, you are providing care for yourself, your friends and neighbors right here at home, long into the future. One hundred percent of the gifts given are used in this region. Your gifts to the non-profit foundation are tax deductible, and could even benefit your tax liability.
Private gifts make it possible for the partners to expanded access to care, healthy behavior, and facilities and personnel that are exceptional.

High quality health care services are important to a community. The mission of Weskota Foundation is to assist in the preservation of healthcare services in the Wessington Springs area.
Organized through cooperation between Avera Weskota Memorial Hospital, Horizon Health Care, and Weskota Manor, the Weskota Foundation prioritizes:
- Physician recruitment and retention
- Health promotion/disease prevention
- Health career educational loans & scholarships
- Building and equipment needs
- Funding an endowment

Art Sponsorship
- Sponsor a piece of art in honor or memory of a loved one
- Choice pieces of art located at Avera Weskota Memorial Hospital and Weskota Manor Avera
- Support Weskota Foundation while recognizing your loved one
- Sponsorships are identified with a small plaque on the artwork & listed in the art sponsorship binder
- Art sponsorships begin at $200
Honor Giving
- Honor gifts celebrate special events and occasions in our lives, or in the lives of our family and friends.
- By remembering someone in this way, you not only honor that personal but also support health care services for people in our region.
- Honor gifts are given in celebration of a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation, or simply as a way to show your thanks for a kind gesture.

Thank you for your interest and support. Your gift will be acknowledged individually, and notification of your gift will be sent to the family of the person in whose name the gift is made. The amount of your gift, however, remains confidential. Your gift can be a one-time donation or an annual contribution that would accumulate in an endowment fund.
