Never Alone

Monday, November 11, 2013

Memorial of Saint Martin of Tours, Bishop

“If I take the wings of dawn, if I settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there your hand shall guide me, and your right hand holds me fast.” (Psalm 139:9-10)

Imagine, that God knows you and I so intimately, that He knows our every thought, every unspoken word and every tear before it falls! God knows everything about us, even the number of hairs on our head (Matthew 10:30), and still He accepts and loves us. That gives me great comfort and I hope it does you as well.

Knowing that God is always with me in my cancer journey is so reassuring because I know I never walk alone. When you are facing trials and adversity how do you face the uncertainty of each day? God promises us that His almighty right hand will hold us fast. May that knowledge give you peace that passes all understanding as it has me.

Ever-present God,

we thank and praise You for holding us fast each day of our lives.

Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts.

Through Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.
