Wednesday of the Thirty-Third Week in Ordinary Time

“I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given …” (Luke 19:26)

Have you had a chance to see the new brochure "Welcome to Avera - Called to Serve?" It states that the Sisters have always maintained a focus of meeting the health care needs of the communities they serve. Their calling is, and has always been, serving others out of love for God.
I believe the Sisters are doing exactly that, and they are asking us to do the same. We are taught by our faith that all blessings that come our way are God given, thus we have a calling to pay it forward, especially to those who are in need.
Is this our calling? Yes, I feel each and every one of us have been called to serve by God. And I know the more we respond to this call, more will be given to us.

Father of all that is good,

keep us faithful in serving You, for to serve You is our lasting job.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,

who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,

One God, for ever and ever,
