I look out the window and see an amazingly beautiful late fall day — really close to winter — but we have been blessed. Even with the drought and some personal problems, I know how blessed I am, and I know that God provides with compassion to me.
I know I have not always appreciated how much God cares for me and loves me. Much of that was because I didn’t find anything in myself worthy of God’s love. With emotional maturity (at which I was very slow) and the help of a dear friend, I have come full circle, back to the days of my childhood when I knew God’s love for me. And, I know God isn’t done with me yet. I feel like a spring calf kicking up my heels in the sunshine of God’s love!
I have found the kindness and patience that I was missing for so long in a world that seems to have anger and violence every place we look. Thank You God for giving me back the peace in my soul and the love in my heart, and help me to be the kind of person You want me to be! Help me to bless Your holy Name, and help me to share the story of Your love with others in my life at every opportunity. Help me to be a servant who makes care at Avera better.
