“As Jesus passed by, two blind men followed him, crying out, ‘Son of David, have pity on us!’ When he entered the house, the blind men approached him and Jesus said to them, ‘Do you believe that I can do this?’ ‘Yes, Lord,’ they said to him. Then he touched their eyes and said ‘Let it be done for you according to your faith.’ And their eyes were opened.” (Matthew 9:27-31)
My husband recently purchased an iPhone 5. I have been somewhat limited in my vision about the things that the phone can do, and actually the telephone capabilities are minimal compared to the other features that it has. He shows me something new every day, and my response is always, “You have got to be kidding!!” My favorite thing is how you give it a verbal message, and it writes it and texts it to the person who you are calling. Who would have thought these things were possible?
The answer is a person with vision that immersed others into the vision. Belief. Faith that it could be done. Saying yes. Saying yes over and over again.
So like the blind men who answered, “Yes, Lord,” when Jesus asked if they believed that their blindness could be lifted, we too can say, “Yes,” and it will be done according to our faith.
