Monday of the Fifth Week of Lent

“Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” (John 8:12)

A night light is so helpful when you wake up in a dark room in the middle of the night. You don’t have to stumble and fumble your way in the darkness.

Similarly, Jesus comes to us, in a world of darkness and tells us that if we will look to Him, we won’t have to stumble and fumble our way along in life. In fact, He will not only light our path now, but also His light will lead us to life everlasting.

shine the light of Jesus into my life

and help me make my way through this world without stumbling.

Use me to share that light with others. Amen.
