Rock of Refuge

Tuesday of the Third Week of Easter
“Be my rock of refuge, a stronghold to give me safety. You are my rock and my fortress; for your name’s sake you will lead and guide me. Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.” (Psalm 31:3-5)
As we say goodbye to our winter weather and prepare for spring, we know that the grass will soon be green, flowers will blossom and sunshine will warm us. We also know that spring and summer are the seasons for thunderstorms and tornadoes. Our local weather forecasters remind us of the safe place to be during these types of storms which is in the basement away from any windows.
There are other types of storms in our lives such as challenging situations with family, friends or work colleagues, and these can occur any time of the year. The good news is that we always have a place of stability, protection and security. God provides this refuge for us whenever we need it and for whatever reason we need it.
we rejoice that You are our rock of refuge.
We give thanks that You are there for us as we travel the journey.
We pray for Your continued protection and guidance.
