Avera PACE

Avera PACE, a division of Avera Health, was incorporated in 1977 as a group purchasing organization although it had been operating informally in this capacity for nearly 30 years. Avera PACE serves the five-state area and beyond, providing members access to cost-effective contracts while receiving personal service from our team. Members achieve bottom-line savings without sacrificing quality products from brand-name manufacturers. Avera PACE also offers needed services such as Locum Tenens, Anesthesia Labels, and the Avera Laboratory Network.

In 1996, Avera PACE became a shareholder of Premier, Inc.-one of the largest group purchasing organizations in the United States. With more than 1,500 national contracts, plus local and regional agreements, Avera PACE and Premier can fulfill the needs of our affiliate members, whether located in a rural or metropolitan area.

In 2008, Avera Health, Regional Health, and Premier, Inc. formed the Northern Plains Premier Collaborative (NPPC) to aggregate purchasing volumes. Members have seen significant savings and cost containment through inclusion in the NPPC contracts for purchased goods and services, as well as with the utilization of the Avera PACE and Premier contracts.
